midterm post



Active Learning - Reflection

During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate 
in a variety of activities?  On what days have you participated to your best effort and 
why?  What days have been a struggle for you and why?

How do you contribute to the overall success of the class?  What kind of attitude do 
you bring and why?  How do you interact with other students in our class?

Describe your participation during fitness days - have you been able to push yourself 
physically?  What types of fitness activities do you enjoy the most?  What fitness 
goals do you have for the rest of the year? 

What does "leadership" mean to you?  Who are the best leaders in our class - why?

What improvements would you like to make in PE by the end of the year?  What are 
you the most proud of so far?

Finally, what letter grade A, B, C+, C, C- (gulp) best represents the effort you just described? In Grade 10-12 we need an actual percentage as well. :( Like 71%… because…"


1.       Yes I have showed willingness and participation in PE class regardless of activity. To be honest I think it has to be fitness days. The day I struggled the most was the first fitness day of grade 10, since that I have not worked out in a long time so it was a struggle.
2.       I organize activities and sports and I always try my hardest and bring a positive attitude and encourage others to try harder. This year I have started to contribute to class way more than previous years.
3.       I always participate and try my hardest and push myself to the limit an fitness days. My favorite fitness day activity is going to have to be interval training even though I always have cramps because of it. My fitness goal has to be to improve my overall performance. Be fitter, stronger, a quicker, etc….
4.       Leadership means always trying your best and taking charge of the group and making sure the class runs smoothly. The best leaders in the class the girls, they always take charge and do what I think a leader needs to do.
5.       What I like to improve on is posting on my blog more often and making it a daily thing. What I have to be most proud of is when I improved my performance after the break.
The percent I like to give my self is 80%, since that even though I try my hardest I still do not post enough to get the grade I deserve.

A week or two before the break I have started to work out. I do running on the treadmill and core exercises. Because of that i have got fitter. I can do fitness day activeitys faster and longer. A reason why is I always intesify my workouts everytome I do them, so I get better results. The main reason why i have started to workout is that I want to get slimmer and more fit. I want to get better and faster and stronger. These exercises really do workout for me. I can see improvment already in around a month. I really want to get to my goal, and sooner the better.
We did the circuit in the gym were, with a partner i ran around while my partner did an exercise, and when I came back we switched. i ddi not have a partner since Arjun was out. So he filmed me doing it. It was for me since I did not have a partner so I had to use other people so when they came back or switched i switched. On the run it was hard for me, but still I kept running. The run part has always been hard for me, like I said before I kept doing it. The exercises wefe no problem at first but after a while of running the exercises that are normally easy become difficult. So as progressed the more I became tired. But something in me kept pushing. At the end of it i was absolutly tired and everything hurted in the morning. Despite the pain and difficulty I felt it was worth it.



We did the locomotion in the dark, i felt that my performance went down( from before I started exercising) on this one. I could not do what i could in the past but still didi my best. I believe this is because since I have been linear for gym since grade 8 my fitness level is high later in the year. So i am not at the levels as before. To get my fitness level up I have started to work out. Treadmill, vore exercises. To really slim down. My progress really shows after the break but before it is just disapointing. All I can hope is this is nto going to persist from now on.

We were doing the 40 on 20 off were we had to do with a partner an exerise in the middle for the others to do. My partner was Arjun and the exersise was the fish out of water. Before when ever I did the fish out of water I could not last long and when I did it infront of everyone i felt Icould do it longer then the 40 seconds. The reason why is that I have started to run on the treadmill and do core exercises and increase difficulty on each one so I have started to get fitter. Even on the ather exercises I went faster than before. My new workout regiment has been doing mirivles for me. I can go harder than before and longer. I hope i can keep this up.

On friday we did the pond run and boy was I proud.we had a choice between running the community run non stop and making it before 25 minuets were up or the pond run. I choose the pond run since did not expect myself to run the community run in 25 minuets. When I started the pond run, I did it at my normal pace as I always did it. I noticed i was less tired than I usually was. So i quickened up. Then I noticed i still was not tired, so I quickened even more. The i noticed i was doing a pace i thought i will never achieve on a pond run. I was amazed and should cke, then my amazment and shock turned into determination to keep going, which I did. I was so amazed that i did not even notice how tired i was until after it was over. When it was over i thought, how did my pace get faster considerbly? Even after the break? I started to think, then it hit me. The reason why was that a cpuple of weeks before the break I started to run on the treadmill(picture and post to come later) and everythime the speed and incline I was going at got easier I increased it. This was the reason why My pace got faster. I didn't even expect this to happen in the short amoutn of time. My goal is to keep improving at the speed I am going at, and Ihope to get results vastly better than years before.
