Loco locomotion

The loco locomotion has been an activity where very time I did one I did better than the last time I did it; and this one was no exception. I personally believe this particular one I should the most improvement than any fitness day from before. I was doing the loco locomotion even more intense than before. I did the squats and lunges even deeper. I was doing the hops quicker and the runs faster. I felt completely worked out. I never felt this tired. I was red and sweaty, my legs hurt and I knew I did my absolute best that day. When I saw kids not doing anything or doing the activities in really leisurely way, I would say hey you start doing the activity. I started doing this midway through the block when I noticed the 8s and 9s were just not trying. When I started to do this other people joined in and saying hey stop faking working out and do it. I felt proud I was leading and saying to kids not trying to actually try. I felt even more proud that others started to join because of me. No one was saying this so I felt I should, I am one of the oldest in the block. Me working me hardest and me trying to become a leader, it was just a feel good day for me.

Pond run

For the first pond run of 2014 I feel I did great. For most of it I was ahead of my friends for a while. I ran it all at a faster pace then previous runs, which I am very proud of. I was extremely sore the next day even after stretching. Maybe I should stretch more or do different stretches. During the run my body was trying to make me go slower than I was going, and one time it almost succeeded but I kept pressing on. I wasn't even a bit let down by my performance. Even though many people were faster. Along the way I saw many people walking when it was time to run. I felt like saying hey when it's time to rest, rest, but it's the time to run. When ever I start a fitness day activity that includes running, my top left part of my back starts to hurt crazy. To make the pain go down I have to slow down or breathe really short breathes. After a while it stops but is a pain. I believe at times it impacts my performance negatively at times, but I coped through it during the pond run. Overall I bei

Beep test1

My first beep test went so and so. I believe that my fitness level should have been higher and thatI should   have hot a 8. My goal is to get 8 or really close by the end so i can match my grd 8 level. This tells me to work harder and get fitter.

My plank was satisfactory my touch level was okay since i know i am not flexible at all. My push up is very disappointing i believe i should have done more. My t test was slow but quicker than before . My jump was horrid simple as that.I know this was the first of the year which means I would be very slow but I still think I should hav
e done more.

Final Post


1. I have always participated in gym and you even saw it, i always try my hardest during Fitness days and i don't just hide in the corner when we do games like sports. i keep trying, even though i am not that fit or athletic i keep trying. You can see from my past evidence posts. I always brought gym strip except when i forgot it at one of my classes and i didn't know where they were and when i did gym was already over.

2. i have always cheered others on and i do it without realizing at all. i have sometimes set up without being asked and i do believe i do contribute positively. i am never quite when it is time to contribute. i always try to put my suggestions in. i say great job to others during and after the day. i even do this when they didn't do that great to cheering them for there effort.

3. I am very fitness minded during the summer since this is the time i can get out of the grove and my dad also has time to take me to the gym. i also do go during the school year but his year, stated in my previous blogs, is that my dad is busy this year and now he is free, but now he got into an accident and he can't exercise or go anywhere with his pain. This year is just a mess

4.I haven't done the weight room videos since during that day i either forgot to bring my iPod or i forgot to get the video from my friends. I am too embarrassed to post anything of my meals. luckily i have done the rest of the posts. I know i have not been the best at blogs but my iPod has been dead most of the year since i had to give my charger to my uncle and my mom didn't want to but me another charger since i had an iPad charger. My iPad charger had a thunderbolt charger my iPod only takes the 40 pin charger. I did get my charger back but i kept forgetting and when i did remember it was too late for much proof to be shown.

I think i deserve a B i would have got an A if i was more responsible and remembered to bring my iPod and put more posts.

Update

A while while back we played a game I think called monkey ball. In the game we had goalies who had linked arms and and attacker have dribble the ball with their fists and shoot it in with their hands. I was one of the goalies and it was confusing at time. We couldn't let go of the arms and we had to say left or right, things got difficult during when 2 balls came at us. We nearly lost but the our attackers came back with some treasure. One time we lost one treasure because one person cheated. The person space with the ball using his feet and kicked it in. He took one treasure despite us saying go back that was cheating. What we could do another ball came at us and he was gone with the treasure. We did great until the end. They kept coming and coming. We nearly got annihilated. We let in most balls when we couldn't get to the end in time. We half out long as we could. At the beginning of the school year we did nine pin. That was the game of nine pin I ever did. That was the first game I went out and went right up to the other pins and knocked them out. My greatest moment cam when I saw Diamond leave to take a pin out. I ran out at it but then I saw Diamond coming back. I gunned it more and then I was so close I could just reach out. But I had to slide to it since I couldn't slow down in time to not hit the wall. So I slide on the floor and I took it out and I almost hit the wall but I stopped right befor. But I did hit the crowd and my pin was taken out but did I care. No bit that was awesome and I still feel proud of it and I also got a high five by Chris on the way back. Best game ever!

Update

We played speedball a week or two back after so long. Some wanted to play ctf and Will wanted golf. I was okay with any of the three. We started out good lots of blocked shots and lots of goals for us. Then the others picked up steam and started to score goals. We tried our best and we did good. We had no goalie then Melissa jumped in and took over, since lots of the goals came through the net. She was doing good then since there was 2 balls and not that many defenders to help out I jumped in as well. After that things became quiet on our end. Finally the ball came toward us, Marsha shot it and I blocked, but the rebound came towards her. She shot it again, I put my hands up as high as I could but the shot got over me and went in. The shot was spectacular and I was dumbfounded all I could say was good job. The goal was that good. Near the end of the game some people started to walk out. So the game ended, everybody was leaving. At the end of the game I didn't know who I won, I think it was tie.

Update

Me working out at home has been a mess this year ever since November. I usually go to the gym with my dad and my friend but lately things have changed I hope temporarily. My dad has gotten extremely busy over the months and he has no down time for anything but work work work. He says it is only until summer starts then thing will be normal again. Going to the gym is fun for me since I get more fit and at a rate I want. Even if My dad wasn't busy i doubt i would be going to the gym often at all. I usually only have time for the gym during the summer since because of school and homework. The only i have been working out is through fitness day. Even that has been sidetracked lately. Since we have a festival or used to we had to skip gym dates to practise with the other band. Things have only got normal during the last weeks of school. My workout schedule is just messed up for most of the year. Ugh this has to stop soon. One time for a worm up for a game day Mr Vaughn had us go back and forth doing various things with a partner. So for the final one we had to do Mr Vaughn said do what ever you want. So O thought of something no one was going to do let alone think of it. My partner was Chris and i said to him let me carry you back and forth and he said yes.when i was doing it and people were staring at me with open jaws and some even stopped what they were doing to look at me. It was fun for me but not Chris doesn't me ever to do that again,it was  dizzying for him. That was probably going to my most memorable moment in gym and possibly grade 9 other than carrying Ralph to the theatre. Overall fun memories for me.  

Update

A while back we for a couple of days went outside did our own games with my friends and I and the girls. We for most of the time played capture the flag. For most of those days we did CTF and it was usually except a few times girls vs boys. The girls did a smart tactic. Their tactic was to wait and play defence and attack later. They did this knowing that most of the guys were going to do a stupid thing by all rushing and getting caught and only leaving a few(mostly me) or none behind to defend. The girls of course destroyed the charge since all of them stayed behind. With their sheer numbers they took at all of them and left me by self to defend. Not an easy task at all. I tried my hardest and the ones i did catch kept getting bailed out but the others since i had to defend 2 spots. We were destroyed  and when we started over the rest of the guys tried the failed plan over and over each time. The girls played a very well though out game, while the rest of team mates played like disorganized testosterone boosted preteens. We sent on with our losing streak until the girls said lets playCalifornia kickball. We said yes and it went into girls vs boys and this time the tables turned around. We dominated this time since we tried to hit the ball far as possible and while the girls played a safe and sorry game. They didn't try to hit the ball hard but to lightly nudge it forward. The girls got a couple of points while we got a lot. The ones who did score for the girls tried to hit the ball hard. I don't blame the girls or call them being inferior I even used to play a safe and sorry game as well. I only scored points when i tried to hit as hard as i could. I had really enjoyed doing our own games by ourselves and I hope we could do this more and more. I feel this couldn't have happened without the girls. They usually put the hardest to get the game together. As i was saying before hope we have more of this.

Update

Today we did atomic volleyball. A version of volleyball that is missing the skills of volleyball. I was paired up with Nicholas Andi and Jason. We never moved our court we kept losing. Probably since we had a hard time staying organized. We were supposed to move once but we let the others move on. They had 5 people while we had 4. They got extra points because of that. Once we realized that we told them to take one person off. They weren't agreeing at first but they finally said yes. We said negate the points before and do a redo of everything. They said yes and at the end we had one more point. We said we won but they some how counted the points they got with the fifth man on. I said to the rest to forget it, I didn't want to argue with them since they would deny it and gold up the process. The weird part of the entire thing was that when one person was left and everyone else was eliminated there was one person on. Jason. I don't know how that occurred but I think Jason probably knew what to do or we just did a lot of mistakes and Jason didn't. I prefer the original volleyball better and I would not like to do this again. The bright side I think is that we got a record. The most time spent at one court, the entire gym block. Hey you can't win em all.

Trip cancelation

Today we were supposed to go to band but the band trip was canceled. So we went to gym instead. I wasn't so worked up about it since I wasn't going anyway. We were going to do the community run on that day, since almost everyone thought today was going to be band they didn't have gym strip. So most of us walked it since who could run in jeans and tight and sneakers. I was wearing kakis and Jordans. Do you know how hard it is to run them. Not that easy. So I walked it. I did jog a little bit specially the hill, so much fun. Even though I walked it I did speed walk it and tried to get the most out of it. I am still upset about my beep test score. In the past beep test I got scores less than my record 8 at the end of grd 8. My first one I had a headache and I pulled out early my head got to unbearable. The next one was disappointing, I had a an almost 7. The next one I forgot my gym strip in my science class. Since it was the sewing room no one was in there at lunch. I couldn't get it. When the sewing teacher came to unlock it my bag wasn't there. My science took it with her and I didn't know were she was and the beep test was finished. One of my most favourite fitness days was when we did the relays on the field. The warm up wasn't fun at all, it was difficult for me. The people in my group were Richard and Abishake. They were behind me so I didn't have the time to recover fully. Even though it was difficult I still tried my best. One time we did the relays around the pond. My group was the 2 Calebs and Will. I was one of the slowest lappers in the group. Even with this I believe I did pretty well. Recently we did capture the flag and during it I did many runs into the other side even making it into the safe zone and the flags. I also played defence for a while and I did keep one of the faster ones in our side until one of the faster team mates came to take care of them. At the end Arjun and Abishake told me I performed the best. I don't want to toot my own horn but I do say I did a mighty fine job. I have been the worst at putting proof on my blogs. Always when it is fitness day I say to my self the day before to bring my ipod and take pictures and videos. But to no avail I forget on the day. I hope I can take a couple of pictures and videos before it is to late.

Beep test + community run(overdue)

The community run went great for me I got 26.8 mins, 2 mins better than last time. I beat my goal which was to be way ahead of the people that don't try at all and make it before MR. Peterson, who was walking the run. The community run could have went better in the beginning if I hadn't waited for my friend but when I reached Cambridge I decided to not wait but to try my hardest and I did. Now moving on to the beep test. Today was really disappointing for me. I got 4.3 when I usually get near 7. I  don't know why I got the score I did. I was also had breathing difficulty, matey I am getting sick I don,t know. I am still disappointed. I hope I do better on the tests.

This semester has been eventful for me. I really started to notice how determined I am during fitness days. For example when we did the partner a and b without brakes. I tried so hard that when I did the activities in the gym, I was so tired I felt like collapsing. One time i tried so hard that when my mom came to pock me up i just collapsed on the seat. Sometimes my mom says dont trie that hard but i still trie my hardest. I feel I have trouble with pushups because when I do it my friends say it isn't proper. I also have trouble with the beep test my grd 8 score was 8.5 but now it's 5.3, I dropped more than 3. I know that I encourage my friends time to time. I can't tell who is the leader in the class but I know that there are some people that just stand there or are to scared to do anything like get a flag or ball. Over all I should still keep my B from last year, because of my efforts during fitness days.
